About Us

The Read-Along is a weekly podcast, where we discuss and analyze a novel, one chapter at a time. It is hosted by the husband and wife duo of Anita and Scott C. Bourgeois.

Scott has been podcast since seemingly the dawn of time, co-hosting the ultra-local talk show The Unknown Studio, writing and producing the ENnie award winning TTRPG podcast Numenera: The Signal, hosting the comedy podcast What About...?, and co-hosting on the movie podcast I Have Some Notes. This endeavor was launched as a way to spend more time on a shared love of reading with Anita.

Anita is a relative newcomer to podcasting, but has guest-hosted on I Have Some Notes, alongside Scott. She loves to read, is a big nerd, and is excited to discuss stories with you.
